Hi, my name is Torhild Rana. I was born and raised in Norway. I moved to California about 10 years ago and I love it here. When I first came to this beautiful place, I could not find the colorful Cotton clothing for my daughter, Marthe, that I used to find in Europe. With a vision of a children's clothing store with clothing that was more like European clothing, I decided to open up a brick and mortar store.

Since importing clothes from Europe tend to make them very costly, my goal was to try to find suppliers here in the USA and Canada that could offer clothing comparable to European clothing. Luckily I found some great Cotton lines that are just as cute and colorful as anything you will find in Europe. I decided to carry a couple of lines from Europe as well (Catimini, Miniman and Clayeux) , as their designs are just too adorable and unique to resist.

The store was a success! The tourists were liking the clothes so much they always requiered about a catalog or web site. I was always working in the store and had no time for a website until the Summer of 2003 when my husband, Ziad, and I were blessed with a second daughter, Maya. I had some time on my hands while the baby was napping and got it all started. The website has been very sucessful and requires a lot of work, and so we recently had to let go of the brick and mortar store. I hope you enjoy browsing the site. We will continue to add more lovely lines to the site as time goes by.
